PORSCHE PLÁTICA 2026
Porsche Platica 2026 was even bigger and better than last year, presenting its own unique challenges. This year, the Porsche 911 R was center stage, a machine that pushed the limits of the newly released 911 platform. Porsche lightened, stiffened, and removed anything unnecessary for racing in 1967. Only 20 customer and 4 prototype 911Rs were made, with production ending in 1968.
In 2016, Porsche brought the R back with the 991-generation 911. This time, only 991 examples were built: a 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing 500 horsepower, a manual transmission, no rear seats, and no A/C… the way the car gods intended.
